It works with my bluetooth headset and pairing was easy. Oh well. The listing for this product says that it is for iPhone, which is why I chose this product over the smaller Sony that would probably have fit better while using my iPhone case. This one is too wide on one side, as shown in the picture, to fit while using a protective cover or skin on your iphone. When plugging this device in, it warns you that it is not made for iPhone (probably just like the Sony).
Finally, a Bluetooth stereo capability for my IPhone. Lightweight, excellent quality. Works as advertised. Basically plug and play.
This product works well with the iPhone. I have some stereo bluetooth headphones and I have a set of portable bluetooth speakers. I get the occasional drop out as other users report, but it appears to me to be related to accidentally bumping the transmitter. The transmitter works fine with what ever unit I pair it with, but it appears to support only 1 pairing.
Like I said though, the quality is better and I get no distortion like I did with the Sony transmitter when I would crank up the volume.Other than that, it works really well. If I want to switch back and forth, I need to repair the devices. This is good because the audio quality is better since it is all digital, but you cannot control the volume from the iPhone. The range is more than 30 feet and the audio quality sounds good. So if you are listening to something with low volume in a load environment, you can only get so much volume out of it. When you connect it, you have to tell the iPhone not to enter Airplane mode but that is no big deal.
I tested the Sony bluetooth transmitter that has the cord connection to the headphone plug and it allowed me to pair with multiple devices so I could easy switch from speaker to headset. The other gotcha is in the fact that it works not on the headphone jack but the dock port on the iPhone. I am happy with it. It's usually about a second long and is no big deal for music although I can see it being a problem for audiobooks and podcasts.Nothing is perfect, and there are a few gotcha's. By this, I don't mean simultaneous parings, I mean one pairing total.
good quality of sound as well this is a very compact and complete bluetooth transmitter for ipod.
pretty cool though, it is also compatible with the A2DP protocols, so it works like a charm also. wish there was a product like this that had a "pass through" so i could add an external battery. which is fine for 1/2 day of riding, but not for a whole day.
It streams music from my iPhone and iPod Mini well. The only other bummer, is that it is a power drain. This is a great little gadget.
i find i can only get about 4 hours of music out of my Mini or iPhone. I'd recommend it. the SRS button thing is a great sound booster and gives a fuller sound.
nevertheless the sound isn't perfect, but it's good enough for me to pair my iPhone or iPod to my headphones while snowboarding.
